I have a feeling the BFF is gonna be really cool for those that aren't into modular. I have the Piston Honda modules that Scott talks about and they are great.
I am really curious about the sound of the Manther. I could be talked into the Mr. D too if it sounds really good.
I was hoping to see a drum synth at this year's NAMM. I could do without the sequencer on the Mr D, but I like the size, the effects, the individual outputs. I hope it sounds great.
CEM3340 VCO, CEM3320 VCF ??? I knew about the re-release of the CEM3340 but the filter is "based on the CEM3320" so that chip is getting manufactured again as well? Sounds like a Pro-One?
Whaoua β¦ really excited β¦ that s stealing the entire namm show so far ( want to hear the new Elektron in action too β¦ ) ; and just hope this is really out soon ( march ? he said ? ) β¦ lot s of stuff supposed to hit the streets those next months ; got money to spend but holding my breath β¦ good surprise from those guys
so far this is the most exciting thing for me of the entire namm show. Abyss is not far behind, and i dig new mpcs, but still.. this looks like something i kinda dreamed about, and could use like right away...
Yeah, these look to be the highlight product so far. The BFF looks real interesting. Good to see a CEM3340 product in the works. I imagine it should have a bit of a Pro One vibe with the 3340/3320 combo. Goes well with the Skinny Puppy hoodie...ha.
Would have much more attention if they had working units but either way im verryyyyyy interested
It was a pretty brutal series of snowstorms that hit Portland. The western parts of WA and OR are not particularly equipped for snow: not enough snowplows, and a bunch of drivers that don't understand physics. Dump over a foot of snow and freezing rain into that situation, and EVERYTHING STOPS.
saw the pics earlier, so i tried googling the name. got this:
manther - Noun. (North America, slang) A man of middle age who actively seeks the casual, often sexual, companionship of younger women, typically less than 35 years old; by implication a βsexual predatorβ.

Without hearing a note I'm already thinking about redoing my studio with these in mind. I want all my grooveboxes with CV I/O (Elektron, are you listening?). Just based on the people involved I have no doubt about the quality of these instruments. And did I hear that right that the drum machine has a Varigate per channel? So much win there. March cannot get here quick enough.
Very essited. Am I the only person that is terrified of modular? I have always been impressed by their stuff, just not ready to open that can of worms. I know it is like crack, and you can't have just one, so have not. But really happy these guys are putting out all in one machines with sequencers. This drum machine is what haves me very excited.
