I agree with you that the new piano roll looks pretty bad, way too dark. Luckily it is possible to change with mods. The way how Cubase's Key editor looks when compared to Logic Pro X is almost like a night and day.

Not enough that the new GUI looks clunky, IT IS very clunky! where 9 was ok in snappiness(but not great), X is way more sluggish! If you are the typical producer, you work really quick, opening and closing windows fast etc.. If the gui cant keep up with your speed, it gets very frustrating. Big disappointment in this area.

Slate has the right idea. I don't have any of his plugs yet, but this might be reason to start.

Logic should take note of this. It seems like it's the "next level" of the current channel strip but with more functionality.

I like the channelstrip approach in Harrison Mixbus GUI, but I not crazy about the overall feel of the design. Logic is much cleaner.

I dunno. If I watch YouTube videos of "typical producers" working with Logic Pro, they are generally so slow and inefficent I find it painful to watch.

LP X is actualy a little snappier than LP 9 on my system.

On the creative side and working with audio files is e.g. way easier and more intuitive with Ableton. But then I watch Ableton users try to get a real good mix. And this is a pita :D

Probably you neef to have both. At least I'm thinking about doing it this way.

I usually send the ideas I have, but I don't know what others do. But – I would be very surprised if they don't monitor the three or four large forums which have many Logic threads.

OTOH - there are many good ideas here which have not been implemented in Logic Pro X.

Apple is watching, you are right.
The last "small" update is a good sign that Logic is not dead, regardless all rumors spread around the web.

Frankly, many of the suggestions, especially in the original posts, are so vague that they don't really explain what people miss. If people aren't willing to send their own suggestions, maybe they aren't so important for them?

Anyway, if I have time I may start a Logic 11 wish list poll, based on ideas from this and the actual Logic 11 suggestion thread.

Here's just one

Imagine you hit a keystroke or button and you apply a new set to the selected tracks.
It's already somewhat possible in logic but only with marker, tempo and signature track. So called sets.

So the name for that feature could be called Track Sets

Create, rename and manage parallel versions of the same track or tracks and use them to compare takes or create alternative versions of your recordings while keeping all track settings. A Track Set can inherit take folders as well.

What's the difference with what you propose and assigning a new track to the same channel strip object? I'm intrigued by what you propose. Can you elaborate as to what would be a Track Set?
