I'm interested in a compact DAW controller that integrates really well with Logic Pro X. So far I think Behringer X Touch seems to be the best option. Would you recommend the Behringer or something else instead?
You can't really go wrong with Korg's nanoKONTROL 2 or the nanoKONTROL Studio if they cover what you're after. Easy setup in my experience, everything obviously is assignable and they're very affordable too.

Behringer is great, SSL stuff is also pretty well made. I am biased towards Softube Faders + Console 1. Fader is great and you donβt really need any Softube plugins, but the Console really shines when youβre invested in the Softube ecosystem. I am only using the default SSL 4000 console that came with it, and it is pretty freaking cool. Not a full fledged DAW controller, but I like it. If I had to buy a similar product again, other than Softube, Iβd probably get the Behringer XTouch with 9 faders.
I Never used the xtouch but I couldn't find an ideal hardware controller. I had an old unused iPad so I made a touch controller with the free Touch OSC. Not the same as real knobs but the advantage is it is super customised to my needs.

I CONCURE I JUST PURCHASED THE X TOUCH ONE AND THE CONTROL IS SEAMLESS ,WORK AS SOON AS I PLUGGED IT IN. THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE WHICH ISNT REALLY DETERRING ME FROM KEEPING IT IS THE FACT IT DOESNT HAVE AN ON/OFF SWITCH TO POWER DOWN. YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG THE POWER SOURCE TO DO SO. OTHER THAN THAT ITS FINE

The Softube Console 1 is incomparable... can't live without it. Mind you this simply covers and input/filters/ eq/ dynamics/ output/ drive etc. I find myself rarely using anything else now especially as all UAD and Fab Filter stuff happily sit within it. It's just so cleverly laid out.
