I cannot get rid of Solo Safe Mode on some tracks.

I tried to ctrl click the solo and the line disappears but as soon as I try to bounce some stems on another channel it's back again and is included in the new bounce?

There are workarounds such as mute the solo safe mode track or mark and use the (s) solo on the parts I want to bounce... Although then another problem occurs, it don't Include the silent parts in the beginning of the bounce if there is no data there. And I need those to be intact.
Its driving me crazy.

So 2 questions,

why does disabling solo safe mode don't work

And when using (s) on my keyboard highlighting stems why dosen't it include the non audio part if I set the loop I want to bounce a couple of bars before the audio begins?

Ok, update.

CTRL and click the solo button works.... until you try to bounce the track then it hops back on (red line across the S) and the track is included in the bounce.

Must be a bug In logic X 10.6.3

i came from pro tools and Logic 9, still find some things odd ... but just stopped looking backwards and plowed ahead into the future !!!

If you are having an issue where you cannot turn off Solo Safe Mode on an audio track, check to see if your "Preview" audio channel strip has been deleted.

Go to the Mixer window and select the ALL tab in the middle of the screen and look for an audio channel strip named "Preview". I have had a couple of projects were this channel strip got randomly deleted due to a bug in a previous release of Logic.

When the "Preview" audio channel strip is removed, it would appear that Logic will then randomly anoint one of your existing audio tracks to take the role that the "Preview" channel strip takes.

The "Preview audio channel strip is used when you want to audition audio found through the various browsers.

Disclaimer - I am not a Logic developer so my claim that this may be the root cause of the mysterious Solo Safe Mode issue may not be the whole story but after doing some online reasearch and some testing, this seems to be the issue. I was able to recreate the issue simply by removing the "Preview" audio channel strip.

I have seen this issue being reported as far back as 2007 and was wondering why Apple had not fixed the bug.

Now that I think I understand the issue, I suspect Apple does not look at this as a bug but instead looks at this issue as a user pilot error. Whenever a new project is created in Logic, the "Preview" audio channel strip is created - even if you do not have any audio tracks in your project. It is simply part of the new project creation process. If a user happens to delete this channel strip / track, that is nothing more than a user doing something that user should not be doing.

My 2 cents anyway....
