Just ordered a Ferrofish Pulse 16 and an advance skim through the manual online got me thinking.
I have an API 3124+ that I struggle to push anywhere near the sweet spot and have been looking to add some attenuators.
However once the 3124 is feeding into the Pulse 16 I see that there is an input gain setting for every analog input on the unit.
Can I therefore in theory drive the API channels and trim the input gain on the Ferrofish to allow sufficient headroom before being fed back into my interface without clipping??
Apologies if this seems a dumb question
Unfortunately, no. You can only turn the trim up, not down. If Iโm mistaken, Iโd love to know because Iโm dealing with the same situation with a clone of the API 3124 and the Ferrofish Pulse 16

Yup - just got it and tried - only additional gain not reduced so no attenuation capability.
However, super impressed with how good the Pulse 16 is. Happy days!
