For location recording, what microphones to use with Astell&Kern's DSD AK Recorder? (not the DPA mics in their kit). Need to capture highest resolution for archiving small performances in stereo. Thank you for suggestions.
Surf - why not use the DPA's? Just mount them on a stand instead of on the recorder? Otherwise, it seems like you could adapt any good phantom powered mics of your choice. Is there something about this recorder that makes it proprietary in some way?
