The Studio Standard

The Reason Most ITB mixes don’t Sound as good as Analog mixes (restored) need a lot of simultaneous inputs, a console is great. At the university where I teach, we have an SSL Duality SE - it has 48 inputs - nice if you need 'em (which we do when recording orchestral sessions) , but with all those inputs comes a pretty heft patch bay, and...

...recording studio? I have found suggestions stating between 10-20, but assuming I achieve my final goals of purchasing a 48-channel SSL Duality ProFuse, have a NAS/server, a handful of computers, AC, lighting, maybe 30 pieces of outboard gear, a couple guitar amps, a bass amp, maybe some video gear occasionally for shoots, and whatever...
