fix bad acoustic guitar rec

hi guys

i really need your help over here. i have this guitar recording that sounds quiet bad to me. i don't know exactly what went wrong during tracking since i wasn't there - but it kind of sounds like they placed the microphones in the wrong spots.
could you give this a listen and provide me with any help on how to fix this (or any guesses where the real problem lies - since i'm not shure)?
i'd really appreciate any kind of suggestions.

Sounds to me like comb filtering reducing the highs. Taking a guess... sounds like a wide AB mike config was used, but instead of the mikes each going to a separate track they were panned around 9 and 3 o'clock and the stereo mix recorded?

Nice playing on it BTW.

I'd say retrack.
