Toggle source/record in Premiere timeline like Avid?

In Avid Media Composer I can easily swap the source monitor's contents to the timeline, and then back. This is useful when editing one sequence into another, as you can see your edit points, and you can easily jump from cut to cut in your source sequence. Can you do the same thing in Premiere somehow? To clarify, you're able to simply view the source sequence as a timeline, it doesn't actually move anything to the existing timeline. It's just a button-push to toggle between a sequence view of the source monitor, and the sequence your cutting in the record monitor.

Alternately, how can I simply copy in/out (like in the attached image) and paste to another sequence?

with the master time line open.
make a COPY of the sequence in the Bin and select, or select a different sequence.
open the selected sequence in the source window.
mark your in and out points
paste or insert edit like any other piece of footage. OR simply drag the selected sequence into the master time line.

NOTE: you cannot drag a sequence into itself, but you can make a duplicate and drag or edit the duplicate in.
