Some might say those mics have a lovely patina.

I'm not so sure you'll find many basements in India.

It does make me laugh that buying and restoring "dead junk" like this is often preferrable to just buying a new microphone.,due to silly imaginary value placed on it because "oh man,it's vintage"

Sorry,I just find such concepts ludicrous.

I mean there is a shop in Sydney ATM,that's selling a busted ass old Hiwatt Custom head for $3000[it probably doesn't even work!]but as there are no re-issue genuine-ish Hiwatt Custom heads to be bought new[like there are with a Marshall 1959 SL]I guess that gives it some cred[?]

Yeah,I guess so,buy em for $50,sandblast them,some liquid steel,powder coat,put the guts of some AT2020/2021,or better yet Behringer XM1800S,sell em for $3,000

Edit: so the "round one" is a RCA KU2A Ribbon "Skunk Mic" 1930's?, had for around $8,000 from Sonic Solutions...but "theirs" has a flat part on the top of the round screen[?],hmmm the one in India, could be worth even more then!

No, but there's lots of curry.
My guess is that it's red curry on those mics.
Geez, didn't they use a wind screen when singing into them?

Seller is from Mumbai, India.

No need to store them in a basement, that Indian humidity would turn anything to rust pretty damn quick.
