MGM Echo Chamber?

I tried searching for information about MGM's echo chamber but could find nothing of specific value.

I'm just interested in learning more about the size of the largest chamber I believe was featured on tracks such as The Incredible Bongo Band's Apache(cover), Elvis's Double Trouble(just an example not my cup of tea).

From what I understand MGM had 3 echo chambers, A, B, and C along with plates. If I read it right A was the largest.

Does anyone know anything about the chambers? I love the effect(although I think at times abused) on drums. It was booming to say the least. Was it a huge massive room like an air craft hanger? We're talking about a movie studio and not a regular studio(I guess Elvis didn't enjoy it very much and stormed out after having to sing Old McDonald lol).
