A&H ZED 428/36 just for mixdown / studio?

Hey fellows, as I v used a R-16 for a time mixing down DAW sessions I want to get a lil bigger peace of console because I need more channels for my projects.

I was wondering if the ZED is good to go for mixdown a DAW session? I just heard the Word ZED 428/36 in combination with "LIVE". Has any1 experience with that board using just in the studio for mixing tracks?

My Interface is the Saphire Pro 40, I would buy 2 Behringer ADAT'S for the inputs.

I am not sure if not, the Mackie Onyx 32 is an alternative ? I am not a big fan of former Mackie products to be honest.

P.S If I am recording, Im only recording Vocals and these can be recorded through my golden age pre so I dont really need decent preamps on the board.

Please give me some feedback.

You'll find it rather unexciting besides the added channel count and functionalities. You might want to check for a used option in this price range.
