First Inline Console

Does someone know which company introduced the first inline console?

I believe it was SSL with their "B" series, but I'm not sure at all.

I've done some research about the topic but still struggling to find useful info.

I believe it was MCI with their 400 series. Dave Harrison developed the concept. The early SSLs were almost direct copies of MCI circuits.

It seems you have the right answer. At least Wikipedia agrees with you.

Thanks

Mci 400 series. A really ingenious design at the time. All you needed was that a tape machine and some mics (and a big hallway for some verb) and a hit song!!!
