Monitor power supply question

I just bought a pair of active studio monitors; the manual says that they need 120 VAC at 60 Hz. Would it be alright to plug them into a power strip with an output of 125 VAC, 60 Hz? I live in the U.S., if that's pertinent.

usally those specs are just an average. Here in europe for example, most gear wants 230 VAC,50hz. But the standard which defines the power , also states its possible to have +/- 10% of voltage.

I think it should be allright.

cheers

Yes. Actual voltages and frequencies from a power outlet will vary considerably depending on a lot of factors beyond your control, and equipment will handle this (within reason). You have the correct active monitors for your region.
