Options for modular analog synth in Australia

Anyone have advice for buying options in Australia for analog modular synth gear? Eurorack is easy to get, MU (which is just so sexy) doesn't seem to be available at all. Is this right? And what options are there for kits?

Not looking for a platform war, just what is available to Australia.

Cheers,
B

Euro is easiest as you say.
At least two main dealers, both very helpful and friendly in my experience. Plus our own Elby.
I've owned most systems, and find Euro the best bang for buck and the most diverse/interesting.

Thanks Chrisso. I have no idea where this is heading but I have to settle on a format first. I am not adverse to soldering either. But I'm a little scared of a complete system. I have a Voyager and Dark Energy and see the common VCO, VCF, VCA chain as duplicating what I already have. This has to be wacky and add to the gear. So this as a toolbox of modules to expand the Voyager, a good reason to not just spend the cash on a finished system.

Because my hobby isn't in the real world, my approach might be to get a basic case, power supply, distribution board and then say "I'm committed, what do I add first?"

Do you have any thoughts on a low cost starter case with all the PSU components? Is Eurorack mixnmatch enough or are there power cabling issues which limit the range of Euro modules I can house?

No pressure, just an opinion thanks,
B

Euro has the broadest range of modules, especially the wackier ones.
Furthest away from the Voyager ethos would be Serge and Buchla of course, but that's $$$$.
There are Serge and Buchla inspired Euro modules. Check out 'Make Noise'.

A cheap housing would be a Tip Top Happy Ending kit.

Have a look around the Muffwiggler forum for more modular opinions. A few Aussies posting there.
Cody at Equinoxoz is very helpful.

Tiptop! Finally, useful and clever implementation of that old drudgery, power supplies. I like this a lot...

Thanks,

Equinoxoz.com - great seller and good website

naturalrhythmmusic.com/

Elby

all Euro though (unless u want to build Oakley kits for 5u via Elby)

muffwiggler.com is of course the best website for researching modules etc

Thanks, seem to keep returning to these websites. What is it with the whole Central Coast cluster of dealers?

I'm leaning to weird Eurorack (Plan B, woggle, math) or CGS serge modules DIY. Banana plugs are so anti Moog, I love them!
