Ok, my vocal chain is Brauner Phanthera > Neve 1073DPA > CL1B > Aurora 8 > PT's.

Everything's been fine until recently, esses started to get a little harsh. I can't figure out why this would be happening. That isn't a symptom of a tube going is it?

Thoughts?

That was my initial thought upon reading the title. If you have some tubes laying around switch em out and see what happens!

Can't figure it out. It may be the pop shield was too close to the mic?

Yea could also be that the position of the mic/pop filter etc shifted slightly and changed the sound.

Other than that I'm fresh outta ideas.
