studio upgrade $5,500

so everyone using only one set of monitors??????

I'm using some Tannoy Proto-j passive monitors on stands three ft. from the front wall
with sony 120watt amp (from a home stereo setup) also have the original sony speakers hook up to the amp as well for a/b referencing

I'm treating my room GIK acoustics products in and adding onto the pro-grade foam products that I brought about 8 years ago before I found out that pro-grade foam only could do so much taming of frequencies

I'm in a finished basement 20ft. x 25ft.(rented home) 7 1/2 ft. ceiling

1.
my front wall is done with 3 foam panels made of auralex foam wedges that span 2ft wide and 3ft. long and 6" thick because I glued 3 (2") wedges together when making the three foam panels for my front wall
I'm not going to be adding any GIK panels to the front wall

2.
I have three lenrd bass traps in each of the front corners of my room(which I'll be placing a GIK tri-trapbass on top of in each front corners)

3. I have a wack pro-grade foam mixing cloud I made out of 2 (54"x54") foam panels that are (3" thick each) making the cloud once I glued them together 6" thick
these panels were brought from Markertek (Markerfoam Acoustic Foam)

4.I folded another 54"x54" panel in half and glued together making them 6" thick(made two of these)
and placed one at my first reflection points on my left and then the right wall
these panels were brought from Markertek (Markerfoam Acoustic Foam)

right now I not trying to treat the whole room just the the mixing/listening area where I'm seated

I won't be bringing in clients till the 2015

at that time I'll be buying a home and doing serious soundproofing construction and doing a large-scale extensive acoustic treatment and fine tuning

Replacement/additions
1.I'll be replacing the foam based mixing cloud with
two PrimAcoustic Z840 1200 00 Stratus Broadband Ceiling Cloud

2. Adding ONE GIK Acoustics tri-trap in the corner on top of the lenrd in each corner
(or taking out one of lenrd bass traps in the middle part of the corner to fit the TRI-Trap in easily)

3. 2 box of GIK 242 Acoustic Panels(which is 6 panels)
use two to add onto the foam mixing cloud

4. use the four other 242 Acoustic Panel to treatment the first reflection spots on the left and right wall (2 on each side wall)

Acoustic Treatment Prices

1.GIK 242 Acoustic Panel (6 panels) $359.94

2.GIK Tri-Trap (two traps) $258.00
total=$680.00

now Monitor upgrade

JBL LSR4328P Pak $1,500(firm on these)replacing the Tannoy Proto-J
Yamaha HS80M $500(ebay prices with shipping)
second set of speaker stands for the Yamahas $60(ebaby prices with shipping)

DJ equipment for doing "Praise Parties"
Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S2 $500.00
