Dropped a mic

A drummer knocked one of my KM 184 's that was being used as an Overhead to the ground. It's a carpeted floor in the studio so at first I was not totally freaked. But to my dismay the mic started to act very strangley. Almost like a when an amplifier becomes microphonic. It sounds very hollow and buzz's now. ANybody now what that means?

No idea man, sorry...but i wish you and your mic the best

At least if it was the drummer who hit it you could blame someone!

Remove the capsule and re-seat it. I've had problems with my 184s a couple of times, and this has always solved it.

But then again, I didn't drop them.

Most likely if there is a major problem, you're just going to have to buy a new capsule, not a whole new mic.

Good luck!!!
