Favorite 'lil' gadgets?

What's some favorite 'lil' gadget(s) living in your studio?

A few of mine are:

Reamp
Ebtech Hum Eliminator
Sansamp Bass DI
Whirlwind Selector A/B switch
RadioShack SPL meter (analog)

I've never used the Little Labs IBP but I think I'm going to grab one and give it a shot.

My -10/+6 CONVERTOR. I can play stuff out of my laptop on an external. Great for sampling soundbits too.

Ditto on the ionic breeze quadra... smell the clean air!

I like my silent doorbell lights. When someone presses the doorbell outside, I have little red semi-truck frame lights that go on. One is above the window in the live room, the other is next to my monitor in the control room. Thinking about connecting a strobe.

What's a leatherman wave??

Oh yeah, I like my thunder drum too. It's a small drum with a handle that has a long spring connected to the head. You pick it up and shake it to vary the amount of thunder. Strafing the spring over a plugged in guitar's strings gives a very E. Neubaten effect.

you guys beat me to the punch.. as soon as I saw the title I said to myself " Leatherman Wave!"

It is the hardcore version of a regular leatherman multi tool.. I use it most everyday.. and on every session! Now that i think about it, it is the only outboard piece of kit I can say that about......

Everyone should have one. Simply the single most useful thing to have...

.. after a mate of mine's MIDI Kettle (tm).

No kidding, works in the following manner:-

Note On = Switch On
Note Off = Switch Off
CC 7 = Speed of Boil (ie current)

I though he was joking 1st time he showed me it!

Check out the Victorinox Swisstool. Far better than the Leatherman stuff IMO. Although I'm starting to feel like Batman with all the crap I have hanging off my belt (cell phone, multi-tool, keychain etc)

I tried one and it didn't do much for me. I sent it back to Fletcher and I was pretty bummed because I wanted to like it. When I saw it at the AES show I tried to buy it on the spot. Ah well.

I'd have to say lava lamps are pretty essential, a 2D Mag Lite, drum tuning key and the Brother P-Touch. Oh, and a Sabine guitar tuner.

Great stuff!

Lotsa' great stuff here. I've allways liked the Leatherman stuff, never got around to getting one though. The P-touch labeler seems real handy and that Espresso machine... man, you gotta love that!
