MC77 question

I've had my Purple MC77 for a few days now, and I've gotta say the sound is incredible. Really. Best 1176 ever. Everything they say is true. Now for the question.

The VU meter has drifted about every day 1 to 1.5 db. I'm leaving the unit on while I'm doing other stuff to make sure it gets properly burned in. I've had it on hours before adjusting the VU back to 0, but the next day it's different...

Anyone experience this? Nature of the beast? Thoughts? Jokes? Riddles? Anecdotes? Hobbit drinking songs?

I haven't noticed this with mine, but I am also admittedly not a meter kind of guy when it comes to gain reduction (on tracking/mixing anyway)...I've let Andrew Roberts know about the question, he should be stopping by with a few Hobbit drinking songs soon.

Hi

No problems here.
The needle doesn't sit on zero when i first turn it on.
It takes a good 10 mins from cold to warm up, then rests perfectly in position.

Mind you i do have another question to ask if thats okay.
With all ratio buttons in the needle goes right over to +3 db, rather than starting at 0db...

I just find the sound awesome, wish i could afford more of them.

My guess about the 'all buttons' mode/meter thing would be that it's simply doing what 1176's do in all button mode with regard to the meter.
