Also forgot to fade it out on the end so it's a rather abrupt stop, but it's 3 in the morning so I am going to use that as my excuse. . .!

By the way, sweet little groove and this is a great idea for a thread - I love this kind of stuff. After I did my mix I went back and listened to all the others and there is some great stuff here.

Here is my remix... I have a low-budget ITB studio and not an acoustically treated playback room, so some things are over-done here. I was very surprised about the very high quality of the raw mix material...! What converter/mics did you use?

My approach on this mix was to focus on what I found interesting about this song. I built the mix around that, so I did some producing here as well. It pretty much ended up as a bluegrass song with some taste of latin. I had to do some audio editing here to get it the way I wanted it, but not much, it was very well recorded...! I liked the acoustic guitar rhythm element very much! I did NOT build around the drums in this case. Instead I added the drums in the end of the song as a "waiting point". That was basically because I thought it wasn't consuming the sound field that well. I am listening to a lot of smooth jazz and I think I was also influenced by that genre a little, plus I am also a fan of spaghetti western movies, I was influenced by that "sound" a little as well.

Ok I'm in.... I did this at home on my Mbox2 with stock DigiRack plugs.... I'll do it again on Monday when I get back in the studio with the outboard Crane Song, GML, Chandler, DW Fearn stuff....

What a cool thread!! My take is that since this was well recorded/arranged, you can do whatever and it´s still there. The world could definetly live with any of the mixes posted here or maybe all of you are just awesome. Who knows : )

Well, here is mine. Somewhat unbalanced but made with good local beer
during a conversation. EDIT: -I didn`t play with mix automation at all, and it is apparent. ( is there this word in this context?)
