It was originally the Audient 2802 now sold by focusrite.

Have you actually used the Focusrite? I remember a while back when I looked into the nucleus someone brought this up for the reason it had the summing amps and still did many of the things the nucleus did. The important thing though. How sturdy is she, and how does she sing?

On the website it says "Class-A microphone preamps deliver clear, transparent performance" but I never trust marketing.

And is it the EXACT same thing as the Audient? Ill be sure to look up reviews on that aswell as long as they havn't changed parts for cheaper pieces.

No I haven't BUT I have heard an Audient console and from what I hear, it is all basically the same lineage. I trust them as a company and their preamps have always been clean.. I do believe the Focusrite is identical, just a rebadge.
Audient go back to DDA consoles (which I enjoyed using years ago) so there is a long history of decent gear.
BUT no first hand experience. For what the OP wants though it seems to fit the bill, so I would test it out if I was in his shoes.
