I'm gonna bite on some a12bs and a j99 to match my other if they really sound the same and have the +6db 300ohm option for my ribbons. Sooo excited, I want to know if the op amps are physically the same though

Good question. Being unwilling to dissect an SC25 SCA opamp, I was not able to compare.

This would be a good time for SCA to jump in here with a post to address this question, and a real time release date for the A12b AND J99b?

The A12b uses the exact same circuit as the SC25. It is electrically identical, but not physically. The upcoming J99b will be similar in concept.
