white passive eq

I have an opportunity to purchase this eq for relatively cheeply. What is the general consensus on the quality of white's eq's.

THis will be my first eq purchase... is this a wise decision? or should i wait for something higher end like the massive passive

If its one of the classic white (white colour!) ones see if you can opent he baby up and check for inductors. From memmory the early 70's ones were chcok full of them and sounded quite nice and can often be had for a pinch, as there were so many made during that period. They were also very popular during the 70's for room equalisation of the big FO JLB/westlakes that adddorned all the soffit mounted mains in the big studios.

Let us know how it goes?
