So I'm needing a 8 channel A/D converter. I've been looking at getting a 828 MKII MOTU. The Apogee ones are nice but out of my price range. What are everyones thoughts on MOTU and thier converters, and thoughts on this new unit. thanks!

Worth checking Metric Halo 2882, features are comparable to MOTU 896. I cannot compare for quality, as I've never tried the MOTU, but I'm very happy with it.

Ill add another thumbs up for the 2882.
Very happy with mine. Much more flexible than the 896. Not ABd them, but di with the 1296. The 2882 was probably more natural, and the 1296 a bit more 'ballsy'. Depends on what your after. I perfered the 2882.

'best
