Fostex Foundation 2000RE

I recently stumbled on this piece of gear. I haven't had much luck finding much about it. But it seems to be a pretty cool 90s-retro 8 track. If anyone has used it or has any info or feedback on it that would be great. Thanks

Fostex sent me one to play with years ago.

IIRC, it's a BB gun disguised as an M1 tank.

IMHO, they were pretty cool at the time (around '91). You could get full dsp on board w/eq and comp, and it had an awesome solid brass jog wheel. Geared mainly towards post and broadcast work, but could be used for music. They were trying to take on Fairlight, IIRC. In fact, I think that some of the guys from New England Digital designed it. Fully loaded, the system ran in the 20k and up range.

Hope that helps!
