masterlink vs. computer based software

I'm hearing some say the recording to and burning a CD in masterlink sounds better than recording to soundforge, wavelab, etc. and burning a CD. I do soundforge/waves plug ins for my CD's. Taking into account sound quality only, is one better than the other IYO ???

I've not heard a difference between Master link and my computer's CDR. I read some of the same stuff online as you, but in my testing, the Masterlink did not offer any better performance in regards to burn quality.
