Hey guys, how do you guys like those on toms and floor toms compared to... let's say a Senn 421?

I've wanted to try them or something similar, but haven't gotten around to it. I've read where a couple of top Nashville engineers say they REALLY like that type of mic on toms (although it may not have been that exact model, I can't remember...)

I have a couple well only one left to killed by a stray drum hit..
They are cool if you have a drummer with cymbals everywhere as they go into small places. Sound..
well they are ok for small toms a little lacking for the floor..
You do not end up with a lot of low.
Been using the ATM25 for floor lateley and a KM85(tom1) if a 4 piece. I also have a beyer and sen 603 that floats around toms, which ever works best.

A guy I know liked the 418 on snare.. I use it underside sometimes, if the km85 is elsewhere...
