NewGuy Tech Difficulties DUET

Hi. I posted on this forum several months ago to get help setting up my own home studio and got plenty of wonderful feed back. Now that I have free time to get to work I'm having one major issue. No feedback from the microphone!!!!

My set up is as follows Apogee Duet hooked up to a reg macbook + Audio Technica AT 3035 Microphone through an XLR standard cable. So all of this stuff is brand new just out of the package and on Maestro the program that handles the Duet I'm not getting any signal from the microphone. I'm new to this stuff so it could be just a small matter of configuring computer preferences, however I followed the instructions to the dot and am getting absolutely nothing out of this.

Did you turn on phantom power for the mic? You can turn it on either in the Logic control panel, or in Maestro. There are LEDs next to the headphone outs that indicate phantom power is on.

Phantom power is required only for condenser mics.

I tried adjusting both the switch that reads -10dB vs 0dB and Low cut.
