Soundcraft Sapphyre vs 6000 Series

It looks like an older Soundcraft could be a good fix for my need for a tracking mixer under £2K.

I'm not really sure of the differences between the different models.

Top priority for me, after reliability/condition, is the preamps - I'd like to be able to use them to be a marked improvement on my Octopre LE + Mackie. Summing and EQ is a real bonus.

Any opinions welcome

Hands down go with the Sapphyre! I have a lot of experience with these desks and the Sapphyre blows away the 6000 IMO. They are harder to come by because nobody lets them go very often. It IS my favorite desk made by Soundcraft!
