Digimax 96K w/ Limiters vs. Mackie pres

Whaddya guys think of the Digimax? i'm using the pres on my mackies to record bands, into various compressors (dbx 166A, RNC) into a MOTU 1224.

It sounds a little thin, though, and am wondering if getting a digimax will help my sound. It has limiters on each channel and ADAT optical output.

also, are the A/D convertors decent?

I'd say that the digimax is a step up. I think the pre's are a really good bang for the buck. I don't think the limiter of the "enhancer"(seems to just be a lo mid scoop) are too good. You can get the LT(no limiter/enhancer/di /96k/only lightpipe out) for $750.
