dynamic mics buzz with isa 428

when I have a dynamic mic (sm 57, 58, drum mics) plugged into the isa 428, I get a 60khz buzz when the gain is increased to the necessary level to power the dynamic (no 48v engaged).

At lower gain, the noise is much less. Also the SM7 B does not have this problem. I also tried to change the mic cable with no success.

Any ideas or potential solutions?

Thanks

Here is the chain. Mic > rear panel isa, lightpipe cable from ISA A/D card to 002, into the PTLE.... no plugins... pretty simple stuff.

thanks

it's indeed a mystery. Sm7b is working fine but 57 and 58 are producing a 60 cycle hıum. The only possible explanation is all your mics are broken except the sm7. But that's not very likely either. Probably this mumbling doesn't help at all. Sorry.
