Motu 896 XLR out to Guitar Amp 1/4" in

I can't find this exact issue addressed on one of the forums. I found questions about feeding a mic with phantom power into a guitar amp but that is not what I'm doing.

My understanding is that the xlr out on my motu 896 will be balanced, while guitar gear is always unbalanced. My question is what (if anything) do i need to put in between the motu xlr out and the 1/4" guitar amp in to maximize sound quality? Is an xlr to trs cable all i need? Do I need some kind of transformer in the signal path?

Thanks in advance!
Chris

Radial PRO RMP

I also have an 896HD, and I use a Radial PRO RMP re-amping device. Works great!
