A Mighty Wind - Does not stink!

Wow. Finally saw it last night, what a brilliant film. A must see. Again, like they did in Spinal Tap and Best in Show, the parody is so close to reality.

Any one else seen it yet?

good film, not a disappointment, but you're probably not going to talk about it as much or quote from it like Spinal Tap. I thought some of the performances were a bit past unrealistic, a bit unlike the other three movies. However, the music was actually good in a weird, funny, not really want to admit, way.
I think Waiting for Guffman still takes the prize. But worth a see.

How many times have you wanted to slap a promoter right on top of his bald head?

And my wife's favorite line in the movie, "Thank God for model trains!"

Dammit Dave!

Do you also go to movies you've already seen and recite the lines before they happen??

Sorry - I sat down at the computer right after I saw got home, and it was still filling my head. The line I quoted, though, was the set up, not the punchline... I forgot, for a moment, that even though I had seen it (I rarely go to the movies), not everyone had.

I'm eager to see it. I wish they had involved Rob Rinner. It looks like it has more of the Chris Guest vibe, which while cool is not IMHO as believable or funny as Spinal Tap.

So many great lines. I almost put a disclaimer in the topic to not read this thread if you had not seen the movie.

That one is out. The smack on the forehead that was so deserved, that we all want to do at some point in our lives.

I am waiting for the DVD, I bet the out takes are just as good as the movie.
