Good, idiot-proof, two track editor?

Howdy,

I'm in a unique situation. I run a talking book recording facility. It's all volunteer based and the narrators need to run the recording equipment. These are not people who do this kind of stuff all day. I'm running Sound Forge XP right now but the future of SF products is iffy seeing that they just sold all their desktop products to Sony.
Can anyone suggest a relatively inexpensive (we're funded by the state government) and pretty simple two track editing package? Thanks.

Jon

Oh, yeah. The whole system is PC based. So Peak and Spark are out of the question.

Try N-track. Go here: http://www.fasoft.com
Download the demo and try it out. it's no Pro Tools but it might work for your application, and it's CHEAP.

I was going to say either Sound Forge or Wavelab. I'm still running Sound Forge v4.1 so don't sweat the old stuff. It's a really stable and easy to use program.

Thank y'all muchly for the replies. I'll probably wait it out and see what happens. I don't have much of a budget right now.
