Digitech VCS-1 Tube Compressor
I recently picked up a Digitech VCS-1 Tube Compressor. I was wondering if anybody had any experience "hotroding" these. IE replacing the stock tubes with something better to improve the sound. I believe these use the 12AX7A tubes. Are there other tubes manufactured that are a step above these that will work in the VCS-1?

did you ever upgrade the tubes? if so with what and was it a improvement? I have always liked the agressive nature of this comp.
