Onyx 1620 vs. Spirit M-12

Ive narrowed it down to these 2 mixers. any suggestions as to which has better pre's and eq's? would the a/d conversion in the soundcraft be any better than my m-box? my next piece of gear is going to be an apogee rosetta 200 or mini me. How about the pre's on either, would I be better off using the pre's on my m-box? Ill be hooking up analog gear such as an MPC, Proteus 2000, Novation BSR, and Micron to the mixer to make hip hop, RnB, and pop music. thanks

From my research...the 1620 pres (very usuable) and more importrantly EQ, really kick ass. The 1620 with the FW card gives you a higher level AKM chip and ultra-decent conversion.

I am looking into a new setup completely (replacing my 40 channel digital mixer)...and the 1620 is in the chain.

To answer your questiion...the pres and conversion should spank the M-Box...don't know about the Spirit M-12...
