I want to use my Zoom H4N recorder, to plug in 2 XLR mics and create 2 separate audio tracks, which will essentially be a Left and Right.
I am tasked with recording a orchestral concert with two hanging overhead microphones that will be going into my H4N. The organization wants a left and right track that I will be able to switch in post so that the conductor can listen to it from the point of view that he hears when conducting.
I will also need to be able to use these 2 separate Left and Right Microphone tracks to be played, as left and right, and sync up to video that will also be rolling of the show. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I am a videographer by trade and am now trying to grasp some of the difficult world of audio engineering and recording. I edit with Adobe suits so have access to to Adobe Audition, and obv the free Audacity.
