It appears to be HD only so I'll have to trip over to Sly's to check out a demo...if there's one available. I'd love to hear some reviews!!!

Renie,

I should have it by this weeken/early next week.

I'll post some thoughts on it.

I'll see how it compares to the real thing(GML 8200).

Should be interesting.

I wanna konw if this will act as standard "go-to" eq for every channel (like the Sony is for me at present) or does it use so much DSP that it can only be used on selected channels ie Kick / Snare / Lvox / acc gtr / bass / OH & mastering....

On an HD3 or HD4 rig - can you instance say 30 of them and still have DSP left for compression and other tasks on a 40+ channel music recording?

Cheers

Jules

SOMEONE REVIEW THIS BIATCH!!!

It doesn't look like it will have a demo... please compare it to the Sony EQ...unless you think it's worthy of a hardware comparison...

Now....GO TO IT!!

Hey...

Whoah there!!!

This is legit or was(I sold it already, but I have another without the GML option for sale).

I am keeping one of my Oxford/GML EQ's.

I am still waiting on the arrival of the MDW EQ.

When it gets here, I will definitely post something.

Till then...

im certain that all of their extensive listening tests were done blindfolded-
because this has got to be the most hideous looking plug-in i have ever
seen in my life. i dont know what this thing sounds like , but if
fisher-price decided to make plug-ins, it would look like this.
what was george thinking????

Well this is now Moot:

I am just gonna buy the new Digidesign Masters Bundle so i will have both the sony and GM EQ.

Thrillfactor did you ever get it? what's the story dude? I guess I might end up being the first to review it..but i have no experience with the real hardware.... Also thinking that although I have an HD 3 now that maybe I should just go with the Masters Pro bundle with the extra DSP card cause the Massenberg is such a hog... although those new 970 macs should help too but since the GM is TDM only it won't help that..

I like you have HD3 and I think the extra card for about 1800 bucks is definitely the way to go. Sony 5 band is 5 per chip at 48 and I figure well start using it all over the place and be VERY glad to have the extra process card.

By the way,

For all you Sony EQ owners. How usable is the Sony EQ without the GML option? (as I figure the massive pack does not include this)

So has anybody had real experience yet w/ this plug? If so, what are your impressions and how does it differ from the Sony EQ w/ Massenburg Curve?

Thank you.
