Remote performance....

So, I'm working on some songs with a friend on the East Coast. While lamenting about the impossibility of performing these songs live, I was wondering about the technical feasibility of bringing the singer in over the internet with video.

Without the ability to create a private, dedicated hi-speed network or something... how feasible is it? I expect the video to have some latency, but is it possible to get the audio there without it being intolerably late? I know that people do remote VO sessions all the time...but is there latency?

Any help from those with telecommunications/internet/networking knowledge would certainly be appreciated...

You might want to do a google search on "rocket network" - i think this
platform doesn´t exist anymore, but maybe you can get all the info
you need.
I´m doing lots of projects with people who can´t get to my place, but
i never did session wok online.

Other than that you can do a serach for decent VoIP-Software. There´s some
programs out there, that provide a good video solution.

Well, hope this helps at least little bit.
