AKG "the tube" value

I know you can do some mods/ change tubes and get something usable.

What's a realistic pricepoint for one of these?

Please, no c12vr bashing. We've all heard enough.

It gets a bad rap, but one of the studios I work at regularly has one that was modded by Bill Bradley and it's absolutely lovely to record vocalists with, I have yet to find a vocalist that it hasn't sounded great on.

I'd say a reasonable price to pay for one would be somewhere in the $1-1.5k range.
