Please help Rosetta 800 vs SSl Alpha

Hi


I can get rosetta 800 @192 or ssl alpha converters for the same praise what should i get ? 8 channels are enough for me . Sound of converters is most important issue . I have rme multiface and digiface

What would you get ?

I am in rush please give me your opinions ASAP .

Rosetta 800 here sounding great. I don't know how good is the SSL, but I can say that Apogee knows its job :-)

Lots of supportive posts on here about the quality of the Alpha Link.


Best advice is to demo them both and see which your ears prefer.




FWIW I have Apogee and SSL converters in my studio at home. I treat them as "horses for courses".

Jim, I didnt say, that SSL converters are bad.

I prefer rosetta in that pricerange (price/channel cost=> quality). I am not a huge Apogee fan either

don't get me wrong.
