HD3 system, what would it really cost?

So, I have the Apogee converters so I am looking to buy as little of the digi hardware as possible. What would it cost to get into an HD3 system (new and/or used)?
Thanks

Probably around 8k for the cards. Maybe a bit less if you go pci instead of pci-e.
