002R+Logic = Inputs?

Howdy all, I did a cursory search for this particular question and haven't found answers - just threads tangential to my query.

On occasion I've used my 002r as the front end in logic. My question is, can I add another device in addition to the 002r? For instance, the 002r represents 16ins to logic - will Logic behave with another firewire device as well (going to 24 perchance?)? Or a PCI-xx for that matter?

I know you can have multiple Apogee (for instance) units but will the presence of the 002r cause havoc in such a setup?
