+1 RComp

MCDSP's Channel G is handy with all it's feature set. Probably one of the most flexible channel strips out there.

I use Ozone (there are even different presets that are tailored for vocals). I know It's supposed to be a a mastering plug-in, but it's one of very few third party plug-ins I own. It may sound bold, but It's the only plug-in I use for dynamics n I like it ... I'm satisfied with mixing a whole project with it (on vocals, bass, guitars, drum bus, and master)

Thanks everybody!

The UAD is not an option for me. -> iMac...

Seems like the RComp and the Sonalksis get quite a lot of usage. Good to hear!

I like the API 2500 in the Waves API collection, and also the Chandler EMI TG12413. Also, the Channel Strip Pro is a must have.
Thanks Tony!

I already have the Chandler. It's great! Bought it from you..

Is is worth getting the URS CSP because of it's comp-section?? Do you use it a lot? Many people prefer it's EQ-Section..

I often use the MAGIX am|track plugin. The compressor sounds good and I love the tape simulation it offers! I have no experience with real tape, so I don´t know whether it sound any "real". But I don´t care...

The Sonnox is nice and more effective than many plug comps out there.

I think you should considder a UAD expander (extern uad card).
Worked in a store for 5 years and heard every plug.
Still have the Waves Diamond, SSL (waves), sonnox bundles, and only use the UAD's...
Unless you buy the real ssl (duende), but it will cost more for only 5 plugs. The UAD-paltform has so many colors...

+1 for The Rocket comp from Stillwell. Its a killer comp with a great feature-set. Totally affordable, and it looks as cool as it sounds.

Also don't neglect to try the PSP mixcomp, that comes with the PSP mixpack. Great tweakable compression.
