RCA 12ax7 tubes

I was given a 69 Fender Princeton and I pulled some of the preamp tubes out and they're made in the USA RCA 12ax7 tubes. A lot of the smaller lettering is worn off but the printing is an orange color. Anyone have an idea of what era they're from and possibly how much they're worth if anything? I'm not planning on selling them or anything just wondering if they're worth maybe throwing in something like an ART MPA or something like that.

Those are some nice tubes. I have one in my '67 Princeton Reverb. I'll give you $10 for it right now.

Just kidding. I don't know how much they are worth as I got a half dozen amperex, GE, and RCA 12AX7 tubes left behind in the space I built into my studio.

What I would like to find are some sweet 12AY7's though now!

Not bad, looks like I'm somewhere in the 30-40 dollar range maybe?

Send pics to the email below and I'll tell you when they were made, what factory, and what they might be worth depending on strength.

A lot of the value depends on strength. If they test as-new, they're worth about $50 (many places sell as high as $75). More likely they are used/good and worth around $25 to $40. Assuming they're late 60s RCA short-plates.

I love all my RCA tubes, they're some of the "smoothest" / "mellowist" tubes I have with very low microphonics. To my ears they're what I consider a Hi-Fi sound.
