NS-10T vs NT-10

What is the difference between the Yamaha NS-10 and NS-10T monitors?

(Besides the color of the woofer?)

I was under the impression these were the home version and predecessor to the 10M. I could be wrong...

These are the "consumer" version of the more famous NS-10M studio monitors. These are the original ones used by some studio mavericks as nearfields which caught on enough to warrant Yamaha to make a version with black veneer for mixers. The main difference is the veneer and the slightly larger cabinet size for the T's. The crossover is the same, and (IMO) the T's tweeters are a little more extended range than the M's. Incredibly detailed for super near-field monitoring - these get the midrange RIGHT. This pair has been used sparingly (seriously) and have never been mated with bad power - thus the original woofer/tweeter set. 6-ohm impedance, 40-80 watt handling RMS.
