Springsteen's Guitar Tech

Did any of you guys notice Springsteen's guitar tech barely catch the '52 Tele, and then stumble over the Marshall 4x12?

One of the best receptions of the Super Bowl IMHO. heh

definitely...he looked very surprised by the handoff! haha

bad pun aside...it was a good save...the pass was probably a bit off target.

I'm sure the guitar tech had a mild heart attack there. And Bruce's slide into the camera was great! He nailed that guy!

At least tele's are tough. Mine has survived a few nasty falls.
Drop an SG and you're in trouble.

Fender!!! don't worry about them, anybody saw the Stevie Ray Vaughn Live at el Mocambo video? where he abuses his SRV strat, flips it around on the floor like a burger with the tremelobar and then stands on it with his both feet pulling on the neck.
some strings went, hup the guitar went to the tech he got another played a song on that, and for the next song he got the guitar back he just nearly killed.

any youtube footage of the springsteen thing?

It was probably a coreographed act to make the tech look like a wimpy nerd contrasted by bruce's rock and roll coolness.

The Boss is a doosh.

Does he really tour with the actual '52? I always assumed he had a replica for touring.

Did it seem like the only time he used the teleprompter was the chicken finger rant at the beginning?

He seemed so chipper and a bit cheesey. Is that his usual mood and style?

I thought he was always on the serious side - like no sense of humor.

I dropped a tele right on the neck plate and it split the wood behind the plate. It was never the same, I've still got it, but its not my number one anymore... I'm REALLY REALLY hard on my guitars.

I pulled the neck off a 72 SG onstage once!

Never been a Boss fan at all but I did like the double CD "The River" thats about it. I'm a huge fan of 3 piece bands being able to come off as good as a 10-15 piece or better.
