Mono sidechain input on the Xlogic SSL Buss Compressor... hmm.

So I'm curious why this compressor only has a mono sidechain input. I'm assuming this means that the compressor will only respond to "M", and never to "S" information when the sidechain is in use.

Also, when used on a stereo buss, obviously you have two channels... so you have to wire them together to create a "M" channel to send to the sidechain? Is that correct? Or create a seperate aux mix for the sidechain...?

I wonder if it's possible to mod the compressor to add a high pass filter to each channel's detector...

Thoughts?
