Your Choice for an Outboard Reverb Unit

I want to know what your guys' go to outboard reverb unit is. I've been using plug-ins but I think that a sound outboard will be a welcome addition to my little studio.

My budget isn't huge ($650 or so) and I'd like to know whether it's worth waiting a few months and saving more to get an ultimate unit (like any of the Lexicon PCMs) or can I get something quite good within that range. On a side note, what are your thoughts on the Lexicon MX300?

One last thing, I still intend to keep a decent plug-in in my arsenal. What do you think of the IK Multimedia CSR? Cheers.

You can get some of the older Lexicons fairly cheap.
I have a 224 I am trying to resurrect (taking the best parts of two units.)
It works on one pre-set.
I also have a Lexicon 200 which can be had fairly in-expensively.
I think I paid about $650.00 for it.

I like to cover all bases, so I have an Echoplate III and a Pioneer spring unit.
The Echoplate III sounds pretty cool! I was surprised!
The Pioneer is a '70s, solid state version of a Fischer Space Expander.
It is OK, but FAR better than many other spring reverbs.

I also have a Yamaha REV500 and an SPX90 hanging around somewhere.

I don't really like any of the MPX Lexicons.
I'd still take one over a Yamaha or Roland digital.
The TC Electronics units aren't too bad.
